Privacy Policy

RemoveBG is an online background-removal service operated by Optiroutetech ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at support@removebg.cloud.

• Email address — when you give it to download an image or to subscribe, and any messages you send us.
• Images — the images you upload and the results we create from them.
• Payment data — payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive only limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits, the billing email and the payment and subscription status.
• Technical data — your IP address, browser and device type, and logs of how the Service is used, which we need to run the Service and prevent abuse.
• Cookies and similar technologies — see section 6.

We use your data to provide the Service (process, edit and deliver your images), to take payments and manage your subscription, to answer support requests, to send you service emails about your trial, renewals and cancellation, to understand and improve how the Service is used, and to prevent fraud and abuse. If you agree to receive news from us, we also use your email for that; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Uploaded images and results are deleted automatically after 24 hours.

We keep your email address and subscription and payment records while your subscription is active and afterwards for as long as we need them to handle support, refunds and disputes, or as long as the law requires (for example, accounting and tax records). Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and abuse prevention.

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as much as they need:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing;
• Photoroom — our image-processing provider, which performs the background removal on the images you upload;
• hosting and storage providers — to run the website and store images until they are deleted;
• email providers — to send service emails;
• analytics and advertising providers — we may use services such as Google Analytics to measure how the Service is used.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your images to train machine-learning models. We may disclose data if the law requires it or to protect our rights and users.

We use browser storage and cookies that are needed for the Service to work, for example to remember that your browser has an active subscription. We may also use analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, to understand how the Service is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the ones the Service needs, some features (such as HD downloads in this browser) may stop working.

You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it or to export it. Email support@removebg.cloud from the address the request concerns; we may need to verify that it is you. We will answer within the time the law requires.

California residents: under the CCPA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the CCPA. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We protect your data with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and automatic deletion of images. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a problem occurs.

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date; for material changes we will also tell subscribers by email.
